The next Akimel a-Al PTSO meeting will be Tuesday, January 10th at 9:00 am. Please note the new 9:00 start time to accommodate the families with elementary age children. Hope to see you there! We will be discussing ways to collect Hygiene Kits and hygiene supplies for local Kyrene district families in need. Needed Items:
Akimel A-al Pride Project update "Thank you to Dunn-Edwards Paints for their generous donation of paint to refresh the walls of a room in our Media Center. Thank you also to the Dudenhoefer family for volunteering their time and effort on this project!" The evening will include entertainment by AMS Drama students, a jazz trio featuring Mike Krill (AMS band director), the Andres Martinez band, and more. Local restaurants will be on hand selling incredible food. The Multicultural Fair is lots of fun for the entire family. Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant Night fund Raiser - October 19th 5-8pm Bring in Fund raiser flier (under forms on this site) and Sweet Tomatoes will donate 20% of sales to Akimel A-al Middle School. Enjoy a great meal and help our school at the same time. Located at Ray Road and 48th Street. Let your student go crazy with a couple bucks to spend at A-Mart for a good cause. Store hours are 8:00 to 9:00am on Tuesdays and during lunch on Thursdays. Thanks for your support! Volunteer Opportunity We are looking for PTSO members who are interested in joining the Kyrene District School's Parent Superintendent Council, or PSC for short. The purpose of Parent Superintendent Council (PSC) is to increase the two-way communication between Kyrene School District’s parent community and administration. This council meets on the third Tuesday of each month, 10:00am to Noon at a different Kyrene school each month. It is a great way to stay involved in the educational process at the district level.
